When we came to Canada, my Mom made a huge sacrifice for me in leaving her parents and brother behind, so I could have a better life here.I remember it as clearly today as the day we left waving goodbye from the cab window to my Grandmother and Grandfather, and my little dog Bruce. She was never to see here parents or brother again.
And yet her sacrifice would ultimately lead myself and all our family to enter into God’s Kingdom and fellowship.
You may have read or seen a documentary program of the excitement which was caused by the discovery of gold in California some two centuries before. How thousands broke away from all other pursuits and pleasures, broke every tie that bound them to home, friends and business and hurried off over land and sea to reach the golden strand. And yet for centuries before that discovery was made the First nations had roamed about the country, hunting the deer, catching the fish, unmindful that beneath their feet and in the hillsides were treasures that could almost buy a world.
Many of us today are unaware of the riches of divine grace, the father’s love, the gold of the gospel, but it is my prayer that this Blog will help all who read it to discover their treasure.
